Foods to Avoid

Some foods that Lapband patients avoid are:
popcorn, chips, cakes, cookies, ice cream, peanut butter, tortillas, burritos, spaghetti.

Generally, any food items that have small to zero nutritional value are foods that you should not eat every day. Any food items with a high concentration of sugars should not be eaten on a normal basis. The best practice is to simply omit them any time you can. Other than high sugar foods, Lap-Band surgery patients should not consume foods that are high in fat. The majority of desserts contain a high fat content although they can be eaten or limited to special occasions.
